Day 1: Dehradun/Delhi – Haridwar

Begin your journey with a pick-up from Dehradun or Delhi Airport, where you’ll be greeted by our representative. Proceed to Haridwar and check into your hotel upon arrival. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri and consider visiting Mansa Devi Temple. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Haridwar.

Haridwar: Meaning “Hari Ka Dwar” or “gateway to the almighty Lord,” Haridwar is a sacred destination dedicated to Jagatpalak Vishnu. Located on the banks of the River Ganges, it’s one of the holiest sites for organizing the Kumbh Mela. Har Ki Pauri, associated with the saint Bharathi and King Vikrama, adds to its spiritual significance. It’s a place of divine power and spirituality that everyone should visit at least once.

Haridwar Weather: In summer, temperatures range from 15°C to 42°C, while in winter, they vary between 6°C and 16.6°C. Monsoon rains mainly occur during the summer months.

Day 2: Haridwar – Barkot (210 km / 6 – 7 hrs)

After a hearty breakfast, depart from the hotel between 7:00 – 8:00 AM and head towards Barkot via Mussoorie. Along the way, enjoy the beauty of Kempty Falls. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel in Barkot. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Barkot Weather:
Summer: Generally pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 25-30°C.
Winter: Days are pleasantly cool, while nights are cold, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 5°C.

Day 3: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (42 km drive / 6 km trek)

Early in the morning at 5 AM, drive to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti and start the 6 km trek to Yamunotri. You can either walk, hire a horse, or use a Doli at your own cost. Upon arrival, take a bath in Jamunabai Kund’s Tapt Kund (hot water spring) and have the darshan of Yamunotri Ji. Afterward, trek back down to Jankichatti and drive to Barkot. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Barkot.

Yamunotri Temple: This revered temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, believed to be the daughter of the Sun God and sister to Yam and Lord Shani. Worshiping here is believed to bestow courage and confidence, and alleviate fears of difficulties and death. Additionally, Lord Shani, the “Lord of Justice,” is said to forgive bad karmas or lessen punishment during the Sadhe-Sati and Dhaiya periods.

Surya Kund: This hot water spring, belonging to the Sun God, is known for its naturally very hot waters. First-time visitors might find it challenging to take a dip due to the high temperature, but it’s believed that bathing here washes away sins and infuses divine qualities. Devotees also cook potatoes and rice in this water to offer at the temple.

Divya Shila: This sacred stone pillar near Yamunotri Temple and Surya Kund stands at 3000 meters tall. It’s customary for devotees to worship this holy pillar before entering the Yamunotri Temple.

Yamunotri Weather: During summer, temperatures range between 10 to 18 degrees Celsius, with pleasant daytime weather but potentially cold nights.

Day 4: Barkot – Harsil (140 km / 6 – 7 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel between 9 AM to 10 AM and drive to Harsil. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel in Harsil. Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Uttarkashi market. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Uttarkashi: Known as “Kashi of the North,” Uttarkashi is a sacred place in Hinduism, rich in natural beauty and spiritual significance. Apart from its religious importance, it offers adventurous activities like trekking to Dodital Lake, Nicheketa Lake, Dodital Dayara Pass, and Dayara Bugyal.

Vishwanath Temple: Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple is filled with amazing wonders, such as an 8 foot 9-inch-long Trishul and a 56 cm high Shivlinga. The temple is guarded by Nandi Baba, and it is believed that Lord Shiva is present here in his Swyambhu Shivlinga form. A visit to Gangotri is considered incomplete without stopping at this temple.

Shakti Temple: This renowned temple is dedicated to Mata Shakti. Inside, you’ll find a 6-meter-tall trident with a 90 cm diameter, believed to be the weapon of Goddess Durga. Devotees claim that the trident can’t be moved with full body weight but can be shifted easily with just fingertips, a testament to its divine nature.

Uttarkashi Weather: In summer, temperatures range from 30 to 35 degrees Celsius, while nights are pleasantly cool.

Day 5: Harsil – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 km / 3 – 4 hrs each side)

Start your drive to Gangotri early in the morning at 8 AM. En route, take a holy dip in Tapt Kund (Hot Spring) at Gangnani. Continue your journey through the picturesque Harsil Valley, known for its natural beauty and majestic views of Deodar trees and mountains. Upon arrival at Shree Gangotri, take a sacred dip in the river Ganges, known as Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja and Darshan, then relax in the beautiful surroundings. Later, drive back to Uttarkashi for dinner and an overnight stay.

Gangotri Temple: This sacred temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga, the Goddess of Moksha, who is believed to free devotees from their sins and the cycle of life and death. Her blessings are said to grant a permanent place in heaven. The temple marks the spot where Goddess Ganga descended when Lord Shiva released her from his hair locks. Constructed in the 18th century by Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa, it stands on the bank of the river Bhagirathi.

Gangotri Weather: During summer, daytime temperatures can reach up to 20 degrees Celsius, while nights may drop to 10 degrees, resulting in chilly weather. Winter brings life-threatening conditions and heavy snowfall, often closing pathways.

Day 6: Uttarkashi – Sitapur (230 km / 9 – 10 hrs)

After breakfast, depart for Sitapur around 8 AM via Moolgarh and Lambgoan. En route, admire the beautiful Mandakini River at Tilwara, which originates from Kedarnath. Drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi and visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple. Upon arrival in Sitapur, check into your hotel. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Guptakashi: Situated at an elevation of 1,319 meters (4,327 ft) in the Kedar-khanda, Guptakashi is a highly auspicious town in Hinduism. It is renowned for its two ancient temples: the Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the Ardh Narishwar Temple, where Lord Shiva is worshipped in his half-male, half-female form. The town has significant ties to the Mahabharata era when the Pandavas searched for Lord Shiva to seek forgiveness for the killings of their cousins.

Guptakashi Weather: In summer, temperatures range between 25 to 30 degrees Celsius, making it a pleasant season. Winters can be extremely cold.

Day 7: Sitapur – Kedarnath

Option 1:
Early morning after breakfast, drive to the helipad at Guptkashi, Phata, or Sersi based on the reporting time given by the helicopter company. Board the helicopter for Shri Kedarnath Ji. After a 15-minute flight, arrive at the Kedarnath helipad, perform Pooja and have darshan. You can stay overnight at Kedarnath Ji or return to Sitapur for the night.

Option 2:
Check out from the hotel at 3 AM and drive to Sonprayag. Take a government jeep to GauriKund (6 km, charges Rs. 10/-). From there, begin the 19 km (8 hours) trek to Shri Kedarnath Ji. Upon arrival, perform Pooja and have darshan. You can stay overnight at Kedarnath Ji or return to Sitapur.

Kedarnath:
The Kedarnath shrine is one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and holds immense importance for Hindus. Kedar is another name for Lord Shiva. According to legend, the Pandavas sought Lord Shiva’s blessings to atone for killing their cousins in the Mahabharata battle. Shiva, angry with the Pandavas, transformed into a bull, but Bhim recognized him. As Shiva attempted to disappear into the ground, Bhim tried to pull him out, leaving the hump above ground. The Shivalinga at Kedarnath is believed to be that hump.

Kedarnath Weather:
Generally cold year-round due to its high altitude. During summer, temperatures remain below 20°C, making it a pleasant time to visit. In winter, temperatures can drop to 0°C or lower, resulting in severe cold.

Day 8: Kedarnath – Sitapur / Govindghat

Option 1:
Early morning, reach the helipad and catch the helicopter. Fly back to Sitapur and proceed to Govindghat (170 kms / 7 hrs). En route, visit Ukhimath (the kmwinter abode of Kedarnath Ji). Upon arrival, check in to the hotel for an overnight stay at Govindghat.

Option 2:
If you return from Kedarnath on the same day and stay at Sitapur, have breakfast, check out from the hotel, and proceed to Govindghat (170 km / 7 hrs). En route, visit Ukhimath (the winter abode of Kedarnath Ji). Upon arrival, check in to the hotel for an overnight stay at Govindghat.

Option 3:
By Trek: Early morning, start the trek again and reach Gaurikund. Then, drive to Sitapur for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Govindghat – Badrinath

Option 1:
After breakfast, check out from the hotel for Badrinath Darshan (30 km / 2-3 hrs). Pilgrims can bathe in the Tapt Kund and have darshan of Badrivishal, with Aarti in the evening. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). Nearby sightseeing spots include Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River, all within 3 kilometres of Badrinathji. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Badrinath.

Option 2:
If trekking, check out from the hotel in Sitapur in the morning and proceed to Badrinath (180 km / 8-9 hrs). En route, visit Ukhimath (the winter abode of Kedarnath Ji). Upon arrival, pilgrims can bathe in the Tapt Kund and have darshan of Badrivishal, with Aarti in the evening. Nearby sightseeing spots include Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River, all within three kilometres of Badrinathji. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Badrinath.

Badrinath:
Located near the Alakhnanda River, this sacred temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu is one of the Char Dham, making it immensely significant in Hinduism. Established by Adi Shankaracharya, the temple sits at an elevation of 10,279 feet, surrounded by the majestic, snow-clad Himalayas. The Badrinath Temple features the Tapt Kund, a sulfur spring believed to have medicinal properties. The river Alakhnanda originates here, nestled between the Nar and Narayana Mountain ranges.

Tapt Kund:
Situated on the bank of the Alakhnanda River, near the Badrinarayan Temple, the Tapt Kund is a sulfur spring believed to be the manifestation of Agni Dev (Fire God) after receiving a boon from Lord Vishnu.

Mana Village:
Mana, the last village of India, is ideal for trekking and located close to Badrinath. This picturesque village features famous caves like the Vyas Gufa, linked to the Mahabharata period, and other caves with significant religious and historical importance.

Vasundhara:
The Vasundhara Waterfall, located 5 km from Mana Village and close to Badrinath Dham, is believed to divert away from those who have committed evil deeds.

Bhim Pul:
This natural stone bridge over the Saraswati River dates back to the Mahabharata period. It is believed to have been built by Bhim (one of the Pandavas) to cross the Saraswati River. The sight of the river gushing through the bridge is stunning.

Vyas Gufa:
This famous cave, near Mana Village, is where Maharshi Vyas is believed to have narrated the Mahabharata while Lord Ganesha wrote it down.

Badrinath Weather:
In summer, temperatures range from 8 to 18 degrees Celsius, making it perfect for a visit. However, in winter, heavy snowfall and temperatures dropping to 0 to 5 degrees Celsius make it inaccessible, leading to the closure of the site for tourists.

Day 10: Badrinath – Rudraprayag / Srinagar (160 km / 6 – 7 hrs)

After darshan and breakfast in the morning, check out from the hotel and drive to Rudraprayag or Srinagar via Joshimath. En route, visit the Narsing Temple (winter abode of Shri Badrinath Ji) at Joshimath. Continue your journey to Rudraprayag/Srinagar, with stops at Nand Prayag and Karna Prayag along the way. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Joshimath: Joshimath, also known as Jyotirmath, is a hill town situated at an elevation of 6,150 meters in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Built by Adi Guru Shankaracharya in the 8th century, it serves as the winter home of Lord Badri, where the idol from Badrinath is brought during the winter months.

Day 11: Rudraprayag/Srinagar – Haridwar (160 km / 6 – 7 hrs)

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before checking out from the hotel to head towards Haridwar. Along the way, visit the Dhari Devi Temple, Dev Prayag, and Rishikesh. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel in Haridwar for an overnight stay. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Hari Ka Puri.
